  1. Can we say heartbreak? Whatever mystery injury O Connell has, he was badly missed, as how Dougie H. In one way it was amazing to have 3 Irish teams in semis over the weekend, but very demoralising that no-one got through in the end. The Connaught game was my personal fav – exciting game with lots of positives to take away.

  2. Age is a big concern with the Munster pack, particularly in the front five where Flannery is the only regular with several peak years still in the tank. When you’ve a team built around forwards that’s got to be a concern. Whatever about better/worse, Leinster made clear moves to get younger in the past two years,. The 2010/2011 season might be time to hit the soft-reset button and look to blood some younger players in bigger games for Munster.
