Tactics not Passion: The Final Push

Monday, December 17th, 2012

This is it, the final pre-Christmas push for Tactics not Passion. First off a massive thanks to all of you. As most of this site’s readers know, the book isn’t in shops as I went down the self-publishing route but thanks to your support it’s already done better than expected. Enough copies have been sold to more than cover the costs and that means the sequel, due out next year, is well and truly in the works. Due to your efforts spreading the word via word of mouth be it on Twitter, message boards, or even down the pub, this book has reached a broader audience than I could have possibly hoped for. The book has been featured on Newstalk, Raidio na Life, Dublin City FM, Mayo GAA Blog, the Evening Herald, the Sunday Business Post, and the Irish Times to date and more reviews are coming. This simply wouldn’t have happened if you guys hadn’t spread the word. I can’t begin to express my gratitude to all of you but I’m going to ask you one final time for your help.

The final date for post in Ireland before Christmas is Wednesday. If you know anyone who might be interested in buying the book, now is the time to send them to Original Writing to order it.

As I have said so many times on Twitter it’s paining people to hear it, yes I will meet up with you to sell it if you are in Dublin City. I will keep doing this right up to and including Christmas Eve.

This won’t be the last post from the column before Christmas but it is the last one regarding the book. Please spread the word one final time.
